My Nearly-Monthly Spurt of Brevity, on the Occasion of a Momentous Presidential Announcement:

"Let us remember that we can do these things not just because of wealth or power, but because of who we are: One nation. Under a groove. Gettin' down just for the funk of it. May the Mothership bless you, and may the Mothership bless the United States of America."

    I was actually remarking to the Deau that I wish he'd said that at the end of his speech as well.

    It was the beat after "one nation." It's almost as though he paused and thought it himself, or reminded himself to quote the Pledge and not the P-Funk.

    In my mind, that is exactly what happened.
